On Saturday 18 August I had my first photo shoot as a Presenter. I wish I could say it was at some high end London studio, photographed by Rankin and I wore a silk pink robe between wardrobe changes...But my reality (for now) is that I had a tight budget and roughly 60 minutes to make magic happen!

Gary, the studio owner was LATE to open up for starters, so the very talented makeup artist, Alisha (on your left) did my makeup on the passenger seat of my 2005 Vauxhall Corsa Hatchback. She had Britain's down cast, grey daylight to work with and still had me looking #onfleek like #blackgirlmagic !

My stylist for the day was my very super-talented sister and dear friend - Shara (to your right). This woman moves like a pro, but I wouldn't expect anything less from someone who has been assistant stylist to Craig David, Rak-Su and currently Will-i-am.

And Gary...The one pulling the silly pose behind my head, is the studio owner...Remember the one who was late? He's alright really, in fact I like him because for once all the black people were on time and the white man was late LOL! It's about time the narrative changed.

The photographer Jesse Gerald, is obviously the guy behind the lens who did a pretty darn good job considering the circumstances...

Overall, I didn't get perfection but I got results...And I can work with that!
